Overview

The HR Consulting organization empowers Microsoft's business performance and inclusive culture through human-centered, data-driven, and AI-powered coaching and global solutions for managers and employees worldwide.

An exciting opportunity for an HR Consultant based in Zurich, working as part of the EMEA HR Consulting team, is currently available. Supporting 38,000 employees and managers across the Microsoft ecosystem, you will collaborate with HR Business Partner peers and HR Consultants across EMEA to support managers and employees in Switzerland. You will report to the HR Consulting lead for Western Europe, Netherlands & Switzerland, and work closely with the local HR team to deploy scalable programs and practices aligned with our mission to empower Microsoft's performance and culture.

Qualifications

* Significant experience in Human Resources or Business programs/processes OR a Bachelor’s Degree with relevant HR or Business experience.
* Detailed knowledge of legal frameworks and employee relations landscape in Switzerland; knowledge of other countries is a plus.

Responsibilities

Employee Relations

* Lead diagnostics and resolution of mid-level complexity issues related to policies, culture concerns, violations, incidents, or threats, independently or with collaboration from managers, HR, and Legal teams. Recommend solutions prioritizing employee experience to ensure a safe and professional work environment.
* Assist or partner with Investigation teams in serious case investigations, implementing appropriate remediation and ensuring proper documentation. May lead investigations where resources are limited, providing guidance on navigating investigations and collaborations.
* Identify, escalate, or raise trends in employee relations issues and work with teams to implement solutions, collaborating with HR and business partners.

Capability Building

* Manage and implement scalable HR projects and initiatives (e.g., manager excellence, onboarding, rewards communication), leveraging existing resources to avoid duplication.
* Conduct coaching and consulting with managers to enhance capabilities and provide guidance on business rhythms. Design and deliver training sessions for employees and managers.
* Use data to identify training needs, recommend tailored solutions, and coordinate or deliver training programs.

HR Projects & Programs

* Contribute to designing and leading HR projects based on business needs, such as retention initiatives or performance cycles.
* Align communication strategies with HR centers of excellence and customize messages for specific regions or businesses.
* Drive execution and operation of scalable HR programs, acting as a liaison with HR centers of excellence and regional teams.

HR Solutions Consulting

* Participate in data analysis related to HR processes, identify trends, and present insights. Partner with HRBPs and stakeholders on organizational diagnostics and escalate risks as needed.
* Provide expert consulting to managers and employees on HR programs, processes, and initiatives, influencing decision-making and offering subject matter expertise.

Operational Compliance

* Facilitate updates to policies and procedures, analyze trends, and make recommendations. Manage policy updates collaboratively with HR and legal teams.
* Ensure compliance with Microsoft values and HR policies, advising employees and managers accordingly.

Queue Management

* Respond to employee and manager inquiries promptly, maintain queue hygiene, and ensure proper documentation per policies. Manage queries via CRM systems, provide guidance, and suggest improvements.
