Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated individual to provide legal advice on employment law issues, focusing on developing processes to support a global business in compliance with local labor laws. Responsibilities include:
1. Advising on employee lifecycle matters, including relations, discipline, and terminations.
2. Handling corporate restructurings, acquisitions, and dispositions.
3. Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, integrating these into HR processes.
4. Providing practical strategies, templates, and risk mitigation advice to HR and business teams.
You will collaborate with the global Employment Advisory team, HR, legal colleagues, and external counsel, sharing knowledge through training and various platforms.
Team and Environment
This position offers the chance to be part of a global legal team advising on employment law across Swiss Re's jurisdictions and businesses.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates are excellent communicators with strategic thinking skills, a proactive attitude, and interest in an international environment. They should be able to respond swiftly to legal developments and work collaboratively across diverse teams.
Minimum Requirements
* Swiss-qualified lawyer with at least 5+ years of employment law experience.
* Experience in-house, preferably in banking, insurance, financial services, or regulated industries.
* Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating HR-related documents.
* Ability to translate employment law into practical policies and mitigate legal risks.
* Understanding of HR operations, organizational roles, data analysis, and AI applications.
* Strong analytical skills with a focus on high-quality, pragmatic client service considering legal, commercial, and reputational risks.
