Reporting directly to the Jewellery Design Manager, the Jewellery Designer Intern will support in the development of all design activities for Guess Jewellery Collections.
He/she will take part in a dynamic and creative environment, working closely with product development team, sales and marketing and ensuring revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Resume trend researches and collect them in an internal library, updating it constantly;
* Support in the creation of design moodboards and colour charts for each season;
* Develop new jewellery products/concepts that are consistent with business strategy, considering trend research and internal collection analysis;
* Create designs through sketching/rendering, developing technical drawings and assembled samples as needed to meet business objectives of Guess;
* Create drawings, technical sheets, graphics and seasonal look books;
* Develop jewellery lines from sketch proposals to rendering, including technical specifications;
* Review calendar and make sure deadlines are respected, reminding involved parties;
* Exchange daily communications with the product development team about the collection development status;
* Check with the PD team for correct balance among products, quality and cost wise;
Requirements
* Student in Fashion and/or Design Arts
* Strong interest in fashion Jewels and upcoming related trends
* Fashion eye with commercial awareness
* Ability to draw both technical drawings and free-form renderings/sketches
* Team player, dynamic personality, fast thinker, positive attitude and sense of urgency
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group at all levels
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up
* Fluent English
* Rhino or Matrix, Keyshot, Office, Outlook, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are good to have.
