We are seeking a highly skilled Lawyer to join our team in the field of public administration law, with a focus on economic administrative law.
* The majority of tasks involve working with German-language documents and providing expert advice on administrative and contractual aspects, including international law and public and private law.
* You will be responsible for drafting and reviewing decisions and supporting the relevant authorities during proceedings before courts.
* In addition, you will serve as a point of contact for the SECO regarding matters related to the Publicity Act (BGö) and provide procedural support and legal advice as a BGö advisor.
* You will also accompany, support, or lead legislative projects in the area of responsibility of the Ministry of Justice or the department.
* Furthermore, you will draft indictment/charge applications, e.g. in cases of violations of the Criminal Code (StGB), and accompany court proceedings.
* You will also work on other legal tasks and provide support, e.g. through legal clarifications in interdepartmental working groups and in the field of tourist business.
A master's degree in law, preferably with a patent for attorneys and/or experience in the mentioned areas of law; with an interest in economic law issues.
* Interdisciplinary thinking and understanding of economic connections

* Proficiency in an official language and very good spoken and written knowledge of another official language
The RS (Resources) division provides cross-divisional services for the entire SECO in various areas, including legal consulting. Hierarchically, the RS is directly subordinate to the State Secretary of the SECO. The Department of Law (RSRE) advises and supports the State Secretary, management, and the line in legal matters. The scope of tasks includes administrative, contractual, and procedural law issues. In addition, the department takes over legislation, enforcement, and supervisory tasks in various economic law areas, particularly in the fields of unfair competition law and tourism.
The Federal Office for Economic Affairs, Education and Research (WBF) is the competence center of the federal government for all core questions of economic and labor market policy. It promotes the opening up of international markets for goods, services, and investments. To reduce poverty, the SECO engages in economic development cooperation. It plans economic and trade policies in favor of developing countries, Eastern European and Central Asian countries, and new EU member states.
