Senior Process Engineer (100%)
Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in a high-technology, regulated production environment. This includes supporting new product introductions, equipment validations, and design transfer activities.
* Ownership of an optimal production infrastructure, workstations, and efficient manufacturing processes for high-precision technology products
* Lead and develop a small team of process engineers responsible for defining, building, validating, and continuously optimising production systems, including small prototype series
* Define, lead, and successfully execute operations projects with full responsibility for budget, deliverables, and timelines
* Coordinate lifecycle management activities after transfer to production to ensure long-term product value, manage component obsolescence, and adapt production capabilities and capacities as required
* Collaborate closely with Sales, Program Management, and Procurement to define assembly solutions and estimate manufacturing engineering services, investments, and product costs
* Work with R&D and Procurement early in the product development phase to define supply chain and production concepts, ensuring design for manufacturing and assembly
* Lead production build-up and ramp-up as part of the design transfer process in collaboration with R&D, Purchasing, Quality, and Regulatory, including validation of manufacturing processes according to applicable regulatory requirements
* Drive operational excellence with a strong results-oriented mindset, focusing on high first-pass yield, cost efficiency, on-time delivery, and other key performance indicators
Your profile
* Minimum
8 years of experience
in manufacturing and process engineering, ideally within a regulated industries, or similar, including experience in a project or team leadership role
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical/scientific discipline, or a completed technical apprenticeship (e.g. Automation, Mechatronics, Polymechanics) with further education (HF or equivalent)
* Proven experience in the production or development of regulated products (e.g. ISO or a comparable highly regulated environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in
German and English
* Hands-on, excellence-driven mindset with strong leadership, collaboration, and team development skills
* Demonstrated experience in setting up and validating production and inspection equipment and processes in high-quality regulatory environments
* Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan, organise, and oversee execution
* High level of social competence and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
* Strong self-motivation, sense of responsibility, and commitment to quality and reliability
* Experience with
LEAN management
principles is an advantage
* Willingness to travel internationally to production sites, customers, and suppliers (approximately 10%)
