Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Engineer for our new Office in Morbio, Canton Ticino, to join our dynamic Data team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and optimizing scalable data pipelines and models that power analytics, business insights, and data-driven decisions across the organization. You will collaborate closely with analytics, business, and product teams to understand data requirements, and ensure reliable and secure data integration within our cloud-based infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, maintain, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate diverse data sources into Azure Data Factory (on-premises, cloud, APIs, etc.)
* Support the operation and continuous development of our data platform (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory)
* Integrate and historize data in the data warehouse and develop robust interfaces for downstream applications
* Monitor and troubleshoot data flows and pipelines to ensure high reliability and performance
* Contribute to the automation and efficiency of data transformation processes
* Support the deployment of machine learning models into production, including orchestration and monitoring of model pipelines
* Model clean, reusable, and well-documented data structures using tools like dbt and Power BI Cloud
* Work closely with analytics, business, and product teams to understand data needs and implement effective data preparation solutions
* Ensure implementation of and compliance with best practices in data governance, quality, and security
Requirements
* Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
* Strong analytical thinking, high initiative, and a structured, proactive working style
* Experience with modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Data Factory)
* Solid SQL skills and a good understanding of modern data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema)
* Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks, especially dbt
* Practical experience in designing and maintaining data warehouse architectures using best practices in data engineering
* Experience in integrating and historizing CRM data sources—especially Salesforce—is a plus
* Familiarity with production-level ML pipelines and their orchestration/monitoring
* Proficiency in at least one programming language for data processing and automation (e.g., Python)
* Experience with version control systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, Bitbucket) is an advantage
* Strong English skills, German is highly appreciated
