Welcome to DEKRA Arbeit. For one of our clients based in Geneva, we are currently seeking an Application Support Engineer.
Your Role:
Provide technical support for business-critical applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve application-related incidents
Monitor application health, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
Manage user requests, incident tickets, and problem resolution within agreed service levels (SLAs)
Participate in application upgrades, patching, and deployment activities
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across the support team
Your Profile:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 3–5 years of experience in application support or a similar role
Solid experience supporting enterprise applications and a strong understanding of ITIL practices
Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is an advantage
Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is an asset
Strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities
Fluency in French and English is required
