Our client is a top-tier family office managing complex cross-border investments. Reporting directly to the COO and CFO, you will have the opportunity to establish the accounting functions for the group, harmonize processes, and lead change initiatives, with potential senior management responsibilities in the future.
The ideal candidate should possess a recognized accounting qualification and 2-3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create an internal accounting function from scratch, replacing external service providers, covering two entities—one in Geneva and one abroad—including:
* Selection and implementation of an accounting system
* Designing workflows to manage the lifecycle of expenses, including invoice receipt, expense approval within rules and limits, payment generation and approval, bank reconciliations, and data integration for internal systems
* Develop internal reporting systems for senior management to monitor business performance
* Participate in other finance-related activities, such as transfer pricing
Required Skills and Knowledge:
* Understanding of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, accruals, prepayments, journals, general ledger design, and group consolidation
* Knowledge of Swiss tax, VAT, and stamp duty; international tax knowledge is a plus
* Regulatory compliance expertise
* Strong numerical skills and tech-savviness, especially with Excel
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English
* Ability to analyze large datasets effectively
