Overview
Electrical and Instrument Engineer – Permanent, Full-time – Sion, Switzerland
Responsibilities
* Designing, implementing, maintaining and improving electrical products and systems.
* Preparing detailed E&I design deliverables e.g., circuit and schematic diagrams, control panel layouts, MCC layouts, cable routes, and related documentation.
* Supervising the E&I project installation phase, testing, commissioning work and assisting in start-up of systems, including instrumentation configuration and setup validation, troubleshooting of electrical and software issues.
* Ensuring electrical, instrument and control schemes operate within national and company standards, namely DSEAR and ATEX legislation.
* Preparing punch lists to ensure contractor rectifies all items before client final commissioning and acceptance.
* Providing technical assistance to maintenance instrument technicians/electricians.
Qualifications
* BSc/BEng degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical Trade equivalent.
* 5+ years of work experience in an industrial environment, or a solid foundation in the technology sector.
* Hands-on experience with industrial electrical and automation, especially process control instrumentation.
* Experience in commissioning and start-up of plants and production lines.
* Experience in ATEX instrumentation is a plus.
* Ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
* Ability to work cooperatively with a broad range of individuals with different levels of education and experience.
* Fluent in English with intermediate knowledge of French.
* Swiss working permit or eligibility to work in Switzerland.
