Part time Management Accountant and Payroll Assistant - Roche - £35-40,000 FTE
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been reassigned by our long‑standing client, a well‑established and highly successful services business based in Roche and operating across multiple locations in Cornwall. The company has experienced sustained growth over recent years and are now undergoing a period of positive change, which includes the development of the finance function.
We have been engaged to source an experienced part time Management Accountant. This is a permanent role that will require the successful candidate to work the equivalent of 3 days per week. The company is entirely flexible as to how these hours will be completed and this can be arranged to suit the successful candidate (with some consideration given to year end and deadlines etc.).
The role works as part of a small but developing finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller and supported by a small finance team, the core focus of the role will be the production of accurate and comprehensive management accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and production of management accounts for presentation to FC and senior management team with MA journals
* Bank reconciliations
* Administration of the payroll function
* Cash flow reporting
* Stock accounting
* Performance analysis against KPIs
* Assist with system improvements and function streamlining
* Assist with year end procedures
Qualifications & Experience
* Experienced AAT, part/fully professionally qualified or candidates who consider themselves QBE
* Strong IT skills and a drive to promote maximum efficiency from IT systems
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and influence non‑finance colleagues on accounting policy
* Outgoing, energetic and commercially astute management accountant
