Senior Finance Officer (26114-FT_LT)
Organizational Context
Post is located in the Treasury Section of the Finance Division of the Department of Program Planning and Finance, Administration, Finance and Management Sector. The Finance Division manages financial accounting, reporting, treasury management and compliance with financial policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage treasury front‑office functions (FX and investment transaction execution), calculate foreign currency exposures and perform hedging transactions.
* Monitor and enforce treasury controls, engaging stakeholders to improve efficiency.
* Maintain functionality of the Treasury Risk Management System, FX and investment platforms, e‑banking systems and analytics platforms, ensuring integration with AIMS FSCM.
* Lead treasury projects and initiatives, promoting system improvements and automation.
* Develop and manage global banking relationships for WIPO’s treasury requirements.
* Prepare, review and maintain compliance and bank documentation.
* Provide input to treasury planning and monitor budget implementation.
* Serve as a technical advisor and SME in money markets, currency markets and banking.
* Support the application of treasury policies, procedures, technology, tools and governance processes.
* Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
* Advanced university degree in accounting, finance, economics or related discipline; alternatively a first‑level degree plus relevant industry certification (ACT, CTP, CFA, FRM, CPA) and two extra years experience.
* At least seven years of professional experience in finance, treasury, accounting or banking.
* Minimum three years of treasury dealing, spot FX and deposit placement experience.
* Experience with electronic banking platforms and Treasury Risk Management Systems (e.g., COUPA, FXall).
* Experience in banking and cash management, including international payment standards.
* Experience in ERP (Oracle) implementation and system finance integration.
* Experience applying IPSAS or IFRS.
* Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of French preferred.

Benefits
Annual net salary of US$77,326 with post adjustment. Salaries paid in Swiss francs at the UN official exchange rate. Salary is variable with cost‑of‑living allowance.
