Role Overview
In 2025 Holcim announced its NextGen Growth 2030 strategy, aiming to be the leading partner for sustainable construction and to create superior value for people, customers and shareholders. The strategy focuses on: investment in attractive markets, sustainability‑driven profitable growth, expanding high‑value building solutions, and a performance culture. One of its sustainability targets is to triple volumes of recycled material (20+ Mt of construction demolition material) and to reduce scope emissions below 400 kg/t cementitious as well as cut freshwater withdrawal by 33% by 2030.
In this role you will develop and manage disruptive technologies and support countries in integrating new technologies into the cement manufacturing environment. Technical activities will be coordinated across various players worldwide.
Main responsibilities
Develop or scout disruptive ideas and concepts in cement manufacturing, focusing on thermal process technologies, combustion, and energy management. This includes open innovation initiatives and partial ownership of development.
Design thermal processes from ideation through lab testing to successful commissioning of demonstrators.
Develop, implement, and drive tests, prototypes, and pilot plants together with Group companies.
Coordinate stakeholders and partners at a global level for process innovation projects, ensuring interface with upstream and downstream processes.
Develop future knowledge for the Holcim group.
Coach and empower project teams in countries and regions to drive process innovation within their projects or studies.
Represent the Process Innovation team in different Holcim projects, meetings, and conferences, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Profile required
1 - Technical / functional skills:
Technical leadership in traditional and alternative combustion technologies; understanding mineralogical clinker phases is an asset.
Experience working in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
