Your Tasks
1. Lead and develop the application engineering team according to Palfinger leadership principles.
2. Perform early-phase engineering, including technical calculations, descriptions, and cost estimations.
3. Create detailed technical specifications and competitive cost calculations in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
4. Support projects post-handover and lead concept studies internally or with customers.
5. Drive cross-functional collaboration to optimize project outcomes and streamline execution.
Your qualifications
6. MSc or BSc in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
7. Proven experience in technical departments, R&D, application engineering, or technical sales support—preferably in marine or offshore industries.
8. Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex technical challenges.
9. Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate/manage and develop team members.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Minimum yearly gross salary according to the Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 60.,30 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market-conform overpayment.
