Tasks
* Develop new liquid coating formulations in the lab.
* Adapt coating processes with industry partners to solve problems.
* Document experiments and present results effectively.

* Adapt the coating process and formulation in close consultation with the industry partner to the respective problem.
* Document your experiments in the laboratory, summarize them in reports, and present the results to the industry partner.
* Synthesize new molecules or chemically functionalize polymers.
* Your knowledge in surface analytics and your interconnected thinking help you solve complex issues.
* You work independently and proactively, thus making a significant contribution to the success of the project.
* You supervise students within the framework of internships, project, and bachelor theses.
Qualifications
* a university degree or comparable education in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related disciplines such as coating technology
* experience in organic chemistry, especially polymer chemistry
* ideally experience in the fields of coating chemistry, formulation, and application

The position is initially limited to one year and can be extended to 3 years by mutual agreement.

The Laboratory for Polymer Coatings deals with the functionalization of surfaces and the formulation and application of polymer-based coating materials to achieve functional surfaces. These are deposited from the liquid phase.
