Their investment strategies include private and long-term equity, real estate, infrastructure and liquid assets. Due to continued growth, we are exclusively mandated to search for an experienced and highly motivated Investment Controller to join their dynamic finance team at the headquarters in Pfäffikon SZ.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Investment Controlling [&] Performance Monitoring
Develop and implement controlling, forecasting (portfolio modeling), and management reporting tools to support investment strategy execution
Monitor asset allocation vs. strategic targets, ensuring optimal portfolio positioning
Calculate, track, analyse, and report on key financial performance ratios (absolute and relative performance, portfolio exposure, risk-adjusted returns, etc.)
Develop standardized investment performance reports for senior management and the Board, integrating both historical and forward-looking insights
Lead the development of business plans and long-term forecasts, covering:
Asset allocation
Capital deployment
Investment portfolio performance
Portfolio exposure and concentration
Financial Systems, Documentation [&] Process Optimization
Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation (user manuals, technical specifications, system integration blueprints) for financial modeling, data warehousing, and performance calculation tools
Act as a key user for financial and reporting software, ensuring proper implementation and continuous improvement
Cost Monitoring [&] ESG Reporting
Develop cost monitoring and reporting frameworks, ensuring transparency and efficiency in financial management.
Take ownership of ESG-related reporting obligations, integrating sustainability and regulatory requirements into financial and investment reporting.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in financial and business controlling within an asset management firm or similar organization
Strong expertise in alternative assets (Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate, etc.)
Proven ability to develop portfolio performance and exposure reporting, portfolio modeling, forecasting and benchmarking
Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret business drivers and translate them into meaningful reporting and insights
Developed IT skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel
Hands-on experience with reporting systems and data analytics within an investment-focused environment
Ability to work cross-functionally, collaborating with investment teams, finance, and senior leadership
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
