Overview
Our client operates an international, ad-supporting streaming platform delivering free entertainment across Smart TVs, apps and the web. They’re hiring a LightningJS Developer to work on high-traffic Connected TV applications used by millions of viewers across major Smart TV platforms.
You’ll have real ownership, work directly with product and design, and solve hands-on performance and platform challenges on Samsung, LG, and other Smart TVs.
This role is on-site in Zug and suited for engineers who enjoy working close to the product.
What You’ll Do
* Build and maintain Connected TV apps using LightningJS
* Develop performant UIs for Samsung Tizen and LG webOS
* Implement HLS / DASH video playback
* Integrate SSAI ad delivery and streaming workflows
* Optimize apps for low-powered TV hardware
* Handle remote-control navigation and TV UX patterns
* Debug device- and manufacturer-specific issues
* Collaborate closely with product, design, and content teams
What You Bring
* Commercial experience with LightningJS or similar CTV frameworks
* Hands-on experience with Samsung Tizen and/or LG webOS
* Understanding of HLS, DASH, SCTE-35
* Experience with VAST, VMAP, SSAI
* Proven ability to optimize for performance and memory constraints
* Ability to translate UI/UX designs into production-ready CTV apps
Nice to have
* Roku (BrightScript), Amazon Fire TV, or HbbTV experience
