MISSION
As an R&D Prototypist, you will play a key role in the development and testing of new EMS products by producing precise mechanical prototypes, tools, and components. You will support engineers in turning ideas and technical drawings into working models, contributing directly to product innovation and continuous improvement.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manufacture prototypes, tooling, and mechanical parts using conventional and CNC machines
* Program CAM software and operate CNC machines for component production
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings, sketches, or CAD models
* Design and produce jigs, tools, and testers for laboratory and production use
* Assist in mechanical design development and improvement of parts and tools
* Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, and external suppliers on technical challenges
* Ensure compliance with documentation, traceability, and quality standards
* Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the prototyping workshop
EDUCATION & PERSONAL SKILLS
* CFC or equivalent technical qualification in mechanics or prototyping
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
* Proficient in CNC machining, CAM programming, and use of conventional tools
* Strong knowledge of materials such as stainless steel (inox), aluminum, and PEEK
* Ability to read and interpret 3D CAD and technical drawings
* Autonomous, structured, and detail-oriented
* Strong collaboration and communication skills
* Fluent in French; good knowledge of English is an asset
