*Job Description**
In this role, you will operate, monitor and continuously improve the large-scale workflow management system that processes data for the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. You will oversee central production and validation workflows across a global distributed computing infrastructure, investigating and resolving issues to ensure efficient and reliable data processing. Through this work, you will contribute to the stability and future development of the experiments high-throughput computing operations.
*Your responsibilities** Monitor workflow progress, investigate and triage stuck and failed workflows. Adjust the workflow management system to changed needs. Setup and configure processing agents and deploy micro-services. Maintain, improve, and develop the current workflow management system further. Communicate workflow issues and report workflow status at coordination meetings. *Your profile** Knowledge of Linux and shells. Knowledge of shell scripting and Python. Experience of web technologies, particularly React and FastAPI is a plus. Experiences with containers, Kubernetes, git, and continuous integration is a plus. Experience with ticketing systems and computing service support is a plus.

Eligibility criteria
You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State. **By the application deadline,** you have a **maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation** in Computer Science or Engineering (or a related field) **and** **your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree**.
