Key Responsibilities
* Direct leadership of 8 Plant Managers and approximately 900 indirect reports (across Engineering, Project Management, local Sales, Order Processing, Production, Invoicing, Logistics and local shared services)
* Manage and develop Plant Managers by providing guidance, coaching, overseeing performance, and setting guidelines
* Full P&L responsibility for the plants, including monitoring and managing budgets, costs, and investments for a segment with approximately CHF 170 million revenue
* Develop, refine, and implement operational strategies, automation initiatives, and Lean Management principles (e.g., 5S, Shopfloor, Lean Production, CIP, Maintenance) to enhance quality, efficiency, and profitability
* Drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across all global operational processes, optimizing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
* Establish systematic processes with the sales organization to ensure timely information on upcoming changes, optimizing operations for expected sales volume/order book (e.g., operating factor, machine utilization)
* Oversee the performance of all global operational functions, including manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and logistics, ensuring targets are met or exceeded
* Evaluate overall performance by analyzing data, driving continuous improvements in operational activities and reducing lead times in processes and production
* Regularly report KPIs to the Group CEO
* Define investments and submit proposals to Group Management
* Forge and maintain relations of trust with customers, partners, and external authorities globally
* Co-develop and execute plant strategies by setting objectives for all operations, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy
* Implement best practices in global manufacturing and supply chain technologies, including Industry 4.0 applications
Your Profile
* Technical degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent) combined with further education in business administration
* Proven experience of 5+ years in a similar Operations Management role, ideally within the automotive sector
* In-depth knowledge of processes in Production, Engineering, Logistics, and Sales
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop teams
* Analytical capabilities for identifying efficiency potential and strategic planning
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills (minimum B2 in German and English) at all company levels
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 or other ISO certifications
* Proficient in Excel, with good working knowledge of the rest of the MS Office Suite
* SAP user knowledge
* Familiarity with other applications such as SalesForce, Qlik (or other Business Warehouse systems) is a plus
