Responsibilities
* Design and integration of on-board systems into rail vehicles
* Creation of concepts, system requirements specifications and electrical schematics
* Participation in static & dynamic commissioning of the systems including field type testing
* Preparation of documentation and evidence for system authorization
* Interface with customers, assessors and suppliers
* Working in complicated projects with many stakeholders and in a multi-cultural environment
* System engineering of a hardware & software system
* Development of system architecture
* Continuous improvement of the system based on customer requirements
How You Will Contribute
* Completed technical education as mechanical, electronic or computer science engineer ETH/TU/FH or comparable
* Proven experience in the railway sector is essential
* Knowledge of National Train Control Systems in different European countries (e.g. PZB, PZB/LZB, ATB-EG, TBL1+, SCMT, MIREL, Zub123 etc.)
* Knowledge of ETCS including European Railway Agency (ERA) standards is an advantage
* Experience with tools such as DOORS, RQM, CCM, as well as MVB protocols and/or the simulation environment is an advantage
* English at fluent level (spoken and written). German language skills is considered a plus
* Capability to navigate organizations to find the right knowledge
* Managing tight deadlines and multiple stakeholder demands
