Position Summary
The Marketing Manager will lead the strategic planning, execution, and performance management of the marketing function at Banco Santander International, S.A. (BSISA). This includes overseeing in-person and digital events, marketing communications, and client engagement initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, compliance teams, vendors, and cross-functional business units to ensure brand consistency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business objectives. It is a position that combines strategic leadership with direct involvement in the creation and execution of marketing initiatives, requiring both high-level coordination and hands-on contribution to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Oversight
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all marketing activities for BSISA, ensuring alignment with business priorities and global marketing strategy.
Maintain up-to-date marketing policies, procedures, and operational frameworks to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Collaborate proactively with the Commercial, Products, and Investments teams to identify marketing opportunities and enhance communication strategies.
Partner with Finance and Cost teams to manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring accurate tracking and responsible spending.
Brand Management & Communication
Act as the key point of contact for brand and communications alignment with the Wealth Management Division.
Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all internal and external communication channels.
Oversee the creation, production, and distribution of marketing materials, presentations, newsletters, internal communications, and related content.
Client Event Program Management
Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact client and internal events (both in-person and digital).
Manage all aspects of event logistics, guest invitations, compliance approvals, budgeting, and post-event reporting.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
Work closely with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure that all marketing activities meet regulatory standards and internal policy requirements.
Oversee the administration and reporting of the gifts and event programs using platforms such as Appian Events and plus.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; certifications and / or a Master’s degree are a plus.
Minimum of years of experience in marketing roles, preferably within financial services or a regulated industry.
Strong understanding of creative workflows, including project initiation, execution, approvals, and performance tracking.
Proven experience planning and executing events for UHNW clients and senior leadership audiences.
Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
Highly organized with outstanding time management and attention to detail.
Strategic and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across departments.
Experience with digital marketing tools and social media strategy.
Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented with a high degree of professionalism.
