For our client, an actively growing player in the Commodity Trading industry, we are looking for a Senior Accountant/Controller. You would be part of a growing Finance Team working on a diverse range of tasks that span across accounting and controlling, as well as great development opportunities.
Responsibilities
1. Perform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts;
2. Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting activities and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance;
3. Prepare quarterly VAT returns;
4. Participate in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting process including consolidation;
5. Prepare business data and analyze Trade P&L;
6. Participate in the annual budgeting process;
7. Assist in financial and tax audits;
8. Assist in implementing and managing projects in finance and accounting.
Your Profile
1. Must have a professional certificate in finance and accounting.
2. Must have several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in commodity trading company structure.
3. Must have good knowledge of accounting standards OR, ideally initial knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER.
4. Fluent in English and German. Any other language would be an advantage.
5. Confident use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and ERP systems, including QuickBooks.
6. High degree of personal responsibility.
