Your key responsibilities will include:
1. System Optimization:
2. Enhance the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (Miniload) by consolidating technical know-how (hardware and software) and promoting continuous improvements.
3. Maintain and upgrade the digital twin tool (FlexSim) by identifying improvement areas such as algorithm optimization and mechanical upgrades, and converting these into actionable plans.
4. Innovation and Digital Transformation:
5. Conduct preliminary studies and manage the implementation of new automation projects.
6. Scout and test emerging technologies and use cases in collaboration with internal and external partners (, consultancy firms).
7. Develop proofs of concept, build robust business cases, and scale solutions where appropriate.
8. Project Management and Leadership:
9. Establish control plans to ensure stable and reliable technology application.
10. Support the Operations Performance team by integrating digital solutions to tackle process enhancements.
11. Lead field installation projects by coordinating with external stakeholders (automation and IT specialists).
12. Build and manage an internal community of digital experts to enhance RID’s technological competencies.
13. Communication and Interface:
14. Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for RID’s digital roadmap.
15. Collaborate closely with RID management, central logistics, regional teams, and group technology departments to share strategic insights and feedback.
16. Financial Impact
17. Developing viable business cases will drive sustainable process improvements and significantly reduce operational costs at RID.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
18. Engineering degree, ideally complemented by advanced education.
19. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Logistics.
20. Experience with robotics, front end applications and an understanding of logistics operations.
21. Expertise in SAP and EWM.
22. Strong understanding of automation, mechanical systems, robotics, and IT hardware.
23. Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms (Neptune, Tulip, UIPath, Pega, Artificial Intelligence).
24. Hands-on experience with digital twin technology, particularly using FlexSim, including programming skills in FlexSim.
25. Proven ability to manage both field and strategic projects and to coordinate diverse technical teams.
26. Strong communication skills, analytical mindset, excellent organizational abilities, and results oriented.
27. IT Tools required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), SAP, BI, Neptune, Tulip, UIPath, Pega, Artificial Intelligence, FlexSim.
28. Fluent in French and English (German is an asset)
