Are you passionate about developing high-quality banking solutions and enjoy working in a dynamic, collaborative environment? We are looking for an experienced Senior Avaloq Developer to join and contribute to the continuous improvement of a payment and core banking landscape.
Your Responsibilities
* Design, enhance, and maintain payment functionalities within the Avaloq platform
* Develop and support integrations between Avaloq and external banking systems, such as clearing networks, fraud detection solutions, or payment gateways
* Extend Avaloq modules to accommodate new formats and industry standards (for example SEPA, SWIFT, ISO 20022, TARGET2, or other regional frameworks)
* Collaborate closely with business analysts, operations, and external partners to ensure reliable and efficient end-to-end processes
* Analyse and resolve production issues in the payments area, providing technical guidance and support when required
* Contribute to testing phases, deployment planning, and release management of Avaloq components
* Drive improvements through automation, modularization, and adoption of modern technologies such as APIs or container-based architectures
* Share knowledge within the team, ensuring consistent code quality and adherence to best practices
Your Profile
* Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related discipline
* Proven experience as an Avaloq Developer, ideally with a focus on payments or transaction processing
* Solid understanding of Avaloq object model, scripting, and customization techniques
* Familiarity with financial messaging standards (SWIFT, SEPA, ISO 20022) and integration approaches (REST, SOAP, middleware)
* Strong analytical skills and a structured problem-solving mindset
* Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Hands-on approach, sense of ownership, and high reliability
* Excellent command of English; German skills are a plus
