As PHENOGY enters its next phase of growth, we are hiring a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to establish and lead our IT and digital strategy — building a future-ready department from the ground up that connects technology, business, and culture across the company and supports our long-term ambitions.
This role will guide the creation of PHENOGY’s future IT organization — connecting operational excellence with digital product development, and positioning technology as a strategic enabler across all areas of the business.
As a key voice in the executive team, the CIO will ensure that IT and digital strategy are deeply integrated with PHENOGY’s evolving organizational goals. With increasing complexity and ambitious growth ahead, this role will shape the evolution of our IT capabilities, structure, and culture — from foundational setup to strategic maturity.
Your responsibilities:
Represent IT and digital strategy at the executive level and act as a strategic sparring partner to the board.
Define and execute PHENOGY’s IT strategy in alignment with business goals and product roadmap.
Build and lead a hybrid IT department with internal ownership and strategic external partners.
Oversee enterprise architecture across internal systems and digital products.
Drive compliance, governance, and security across all IT areas.
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across departments, subsidiaries, and locations.
Translate business needs into scalable IT solutions and digital services.
Oversee the recruiting process for expanding internal IT and development resources.
Promote innovation through AI, data, and automation initiatives.
Must have’s:
Proven experience in IT leadership roles (CIO, Head of IT, IT Director, etc.).
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, IT operations, and cloud infrastructure.
Experience in building and scaling IT departments from early-stage to maturity.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC, GDPR).
Strategic mindset with the flexibility to evolve with a growing organization.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with international teams and cross-functional projects.
Commitment to preserving and evolving company culture as a modern, inclusive leader.
Nice to have’s:
Experience in energy, battery, or industrial technology sectors.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Understanding of digital product development, IoT, and data platforms.
Background in managing IT during business expansion or transformation.
