Role Description & Key Responsibilities
The Senior Legal Counsel will report directly to the General Counsel and provide strategic legal support across the organization, including corporate, financing, and commercial matters. The role involves advising the executive team, developing risk‑mitigation strategies, and building processes that support business growth.
Key Qualifications
* Best in class law firm experience
* Civil and common law experience
* Commercial law experience and excellent negotiation skills
* Proficiency in writing and negotiating contracts
* Ability to be the legal sparring partner on a broad range of legal topics
* Law degree and ideally an LL.M.
Additional Qualifications Which Are An Asset
* Corporate in‑house experience
* Public company experience
* Shipping, travel & tourism or hospitality experience
* Financing experience
* Bar exam
