The Portfolio & Innovation Commercialization Manager, Ortho Channel is responsible for driving the successful introduction, positioning, and lifecycle management of innovations within Align’s orthodontic portfolio across EMEA. This role ensures that new products, clinical innovations, and digital solutions are effectively translated into market‑ready value propositions, driving adoption, differentiation, and commercial growth within the orthodontic channel. It acts as the critical interface between Global Product Teams, Channel Team and Commercial Organizations, ensuring strategic alignment, excellence in launch execution, and consistent communication of Align’s innovation leadership to the orthodontic community.
Key Responsibilities
Go-to-Market Excellence & Launch Execution
* Lead the regional commercialization strategy for new products and solutions within the Ortho channel, ensuring alignment with global innovation roadmaps and EMEA business priorities.
* Translate innovation and product strategies into clear, customer‑centric value propositions tailored to the orthodontic segment.
* Manage the ortho portfolio across its lifecycle— including innovation assessment, launch planning, adoption and portfolio optimization— ensuring commercial relevance and profitability.
* Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify white space opportunities, inform portfolio priorities, and guide future innovation needs.
* Partner with Global Channel to ensure feedback loops from key orthodontic customers inform product enhancements and innovation roadmaps.
* Define and drive end‑to‑end go‑to‑market plans for all Ortho‑related innovations—from pre‑launch readiness and segmentation to campaign activation and post‑launch tracking.
* Collaborate closely with Cluster Marketing and Commercial Teams to ensure effective localization, training, and adoption of new products across markets.
* Partner with Clinical Team and Marketing Services to integrate innovation launches into professional training, events, and communication platforms.
* Lead cross‑functional launch teams to ensure readiness across marketing, sales, operations, supply chain, and support functions.
* Define and monitor launch KPIs and success metrics, ensuring data‑driven performance management and continuous improvement.
* Build compelling value propositions around new products and digital solutions, articulating clinical value, patient benefits, and practice impact for orthodontic professionals.
* Ensure a consistent and differentiated market presence for Align’s ortho portfolio, reinforcing trust, credibility, and leadership in digital orthodontics.
* Collaborate with Global Product / Channel Teams for roadmap alignment, feedback, and launch readiness.
* Collaborate with EMEA Ortho Channel Marketing & Local Marketing Teams to ensure consistent execution and local adaptation.
* Collaborate with Commercial Excellence and D&A teams to define launch KPIs, measurement tools, and adoption pathways.
* Collaborate with Clinical Team to embed innovation into professional learning and clinical advocacy.
Customer‑Centric Storytelling & Differentiation
* Develop and deliver messaging frameworks that differentiate Align’s ortho portfolio in the marketplace.
* Translate scientific evidence into consumer‑friendly narratives that resonate with orthodontic professionals.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* 8+ years of relevant marketing experience.
* Proven experience in product/portfolio management within medical devices/Pharma/dental.
* Strong background in go‑to‑market strategy, commercialization, and lifecycle management.
* Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional programmes and influence stakeholders across marketing, sales, and product functions.
* Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to translate complex innovations into clear customer value.
* Strong execution focus, project management rigor, and attention to detail.
* Education: MBA or Master’s degree in business.
