Nursing Unit Manager Your role: As a Nursing Unit Manager (NUM), you ensure the management of your unit by guaranteeing the quality of care, smooth functioning, and close management that fosters team engagement.
Main responsibilities:- Lead and supervise your unit's team while ensuring skill development and team cohesion.- Manage human resources of the unit, guiding the team towards defined objectives and supporting a constructive professional culture.- Ensure quality care in compliance with professional standards, institutional concepts, and current laws and regulations.- Participate in setting care sector objectives and translating them into your unit's goals.- Contribute to and continuously improve care quality with relevant support.- Ensure internal communication within the unit and with other departments.- Maintain a respectful and professional relationship with residents and their families.- Represent the establishment to partners and external stakeholders related to your unit.
Your profile:- Degree in care management.- Proven experience in team management (minimum 2 years).- Professional experience in understanding and meeting the needs of residents and their families.- Ability to make decisions and assume responsibilities.- Proficient and capable of managing complex situations.- Knowledge of the SI Carefolio and RAI instrument (an asset).
