About the Role
Galderma is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Treasurer to join our dynamic team in Zug or Lausanne. This role is pivotal in managing global treasury operations, ensuring liquidity, optimizing capital structure, and mitigating financial risks. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, driving strategic initiatives and process improvements across the treasury function while ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Funding & Capital Markets
o Support execution of financing strategies (e.g., bonds, loans, refinancing)
o Monitor leverage ratios and covenant compliance
o Maintain strong relationships with banks and investors
o Apply deep knowledge of capital markets, debt instruments, and treasury accounting
* Liquidity & Cash Management
o Oversee global cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
o Optimize working capital and cash pooling structures
o Ensure efficient use of excess cash and minimize interest expenses
* Risk Management
o Manage FX, interest rate and counterparty risk exposures, including overseeing hedging strategies
o Apply IFRS hedge accounting principles to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance, including documentation, effectiveness testing and reporting
* Treasury Operations & Systems
o Support deployment and enhancement of Treasury Management Systems (TMS)
o Ensure integration between treasury and accounting systems
* Governance & Compliance
o Ensure compliance with internal policies and IFRS standards
o Prepare treasury reports for senior management, auditors, and audit committee
o Drive continuous improvement of treasury policies and procedures
* Strategic Projects
o Contribute to capital structure planning and financial modelling
Requirements
* Liquidity and cash management experience
* Risk management experience
* Experience in financial reporting and compliance related to hedge accounting, including strong understanding of IFRS 9 hedge accounting principles and their application in treasury operations
* Experience in a regional or global role
* Proven ability to manage large and complex projects and take ownership of end-to-end processes
* Track record of leading process improvement and designing efficient workflows
* Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to take a broad perspective and develop solutions for complex challenges
* Fluency in English
