The Opportunity
As Senior Counsel, CMO & Global Supply Chain, you will act as a trusted advisor to Global Operations. In this highly strategic role, you will provide legal guidance across CSL's external supply integration, contract manufacturing, technical operations, and global supply chain activities.
You will lead the negotiation and management of complex CMO/CDMO agreements -including tech transfers, commercial supply arrangements, and long-term strategic partnerships - and play a key role in supporting sourcing initiatives, manufacturing continuity, and global supply reliability.

The Role
1. Deliver risk-balanced, business-focused legal advice enabling confident and well‑informed decision-making.
2. Monitor relevant regulatory and enforcement developments and advise leadership on potential impacts to manufacturing and supply.
3. Advance the Legal strategy in alignment with Global Operations priorities.
4. Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across Global Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other Legal sub‑functions (e.g., R&D, Global IP).
5. Review, draft, and negotiate CMO/CDMO agreements, supply contracts, logistics warehousing, distribution, and vendor-managed inventory agreements.
6. Support structuring and establishing compliant and outsourcing arrangements.
7. Advise on risk allocation, supply continuity, performance obligations, pricing, exclusivity, IP, GxP, and regulatory obligations.
8. Contribute to strategic externalization initiatives, long-term capacity planning, and alliance management.
9. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and CSL policies; provide guidance on GxP requirements.
10. Support management of disputes with contract manufacturers or suppliers, including regulatory investigations.
11. Direct external counsel and drive efficiency through technology and AI use where appropriate.
12. Contribute to Legal team initiatives, projects, and process improvements.
13. Foster a culture aligned with CSL's ways of working - being bold, raising the bar and winning together.
14. Promote cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement in Legal's value proposition.
15. Advocate for new technologies and modern ways of working.
16. Contribute to building an inclusive, high-performance team environment.
Your Skills and Experience:
17. Juris Doctor (JD) or international equivalent.
18. Active bar admission (or in-house license where required).
19. 8+ years of legal experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry.
20. Strong negotiating and drafting skills with the ability to manage complex international agreements.
21. Demonstrated experience providing strategic legal guidance to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
22. Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory environments and translate issues into actionable guidance.
