We are representing a well-established international financial institution that is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join its internal audit team in their Wealth Management capacity. Accountabilities:
* Plan, lead, and execute end-to-end audits focused on private banking operations, both in Switzerland and abroad (including locations such as Monaco, London, Dubai, and Panama)
* Deliver clear, structured audit reports and communicate findings effectively to relevant stakeholders
* Provide guidance and act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on risk mitigation and internal control enhancements
* Monitor the implementation of agreed audit recommendations and follow up on remediation plans
* Prepare high-level documentation and summaries for senior management and board-level committees
* Contribute to internal investigations and cross-departmental projects
* Serve as subject matter expert for audits related to front office processes, such as cross-border services or investment suitability
Profile:
* A completed banking apprenticeship or higher education in finance, accounting, or business administration (e.g. University degree, Fachhochschule, CIA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent); audit-specific qualifications are a plus
* At least 5 years of hands-on audit experience in a banking or Big Four environment, with a focus on private banking and client advisory topics
* DIRECT/HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN AUDITING WM FRONT-OFFICE ACTIVITIES
* Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and risk areas in front office activities, particularly cross-border and suitability regulations
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English; knowledge of French or Spanish is advantageous
* Proficiency in MS Office; experience with core banking systems (e.g., Avaloq) is a plus
* Proactive, self-driven mindset with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity
* Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 40–50 days per year)
