Junior Project Manager Primary Engineering 80 – 100% (f/m/d)
Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. Our unit Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), based in Zürich-Oerlikon, is active in the development and production of Gas Insulated Switching Systems. We ensure the high reliability of our systems by using state-of-the-art development tools and methods.
How you’ll make an impact
* Project planning and technical detailing of gas‑insulated switchgear, including preparation of all necessary documents for order, fabrication, assembly and customers
* Discussion of technical solutions with customers and internal stakeholders
* Management of all technical communication channels internally as well as externally
* Project execution and ordering of required material including necessary configuration
* Responsibility for project costs, deadlines & scope of delivery
* Detailed elaboration of quality cases and improvement processes
* Technical support of the project until completion of on‑site assembly
* Occasional travel to customer meetings or site visits
Your background
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering without or with little working experience
* Experience with Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to assist in developing project schedules and tracking progress
* Familiarity with supporting various project phases, including production, transportation, installation, and testing
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and elevate issues
* Ability to work effectively within an international team environment and collaborate with other departments.
* Experience in coordinating resources, including materials and equipment is a plus
* Proficiency/experience in CAD software (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD), SAP and other engineering tools is a plus
* Fluent in English and German
