At My Next Step, we are pleased to support Xer Technologies in the search for their next Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This role offers the opportunity to lead and scale the global commercial strategy of a high-growth defence and industrial drone company.
About Xer
Xer Technologies develops and builds long‑endurance multicopter drones for defence and industrial applications. With increasing demand from NATO/EU countries and global infrastructure operators, we are scaling our commercial organization and are looking for a CCO to drive our next growth phase.
The Role
As CCO you will lead Xer’s global commercial strategy and sales execution. You will build and lead the international sales organization, shape our value proposition, go‑to‑market strategy and close strategic, multi‑year deals together with key customers, resellers and system integrators.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the global commercial and go‑to‑market strategy for defence and infrastructure.
* Build and lead an international sales organization.
* Expand and manage Xer’s network of resellers and system integrators.
* Win and grow strategic accounts with armed forces, procurement agencies and critical infrastructure operators.
* Manage pipeline, forecasting and sales performance while ensuring alignment with commercial operations, engineering and manufacturing.
* Ensure close collaboration with commercial operations, which retains responsibility for bid governance, offer validation, profitability and deliverability.
* Represent Xer at key industry events and build a strong external network.
Your Profile
* 10+ years commercial leadership with a defence supplier, ideally UAS or aerospace, preferably also in commercial UAS application.
* Proven track record in leading, winning and managing major sales contracts.
* Strong network in at least one major defence market (e.g. DE, UK, FR, PL, IT) or industrial UAV application.
* Experience leading high‑performing, international sales teams.
* Comfortable selling complex technical systems and working closely with engineering.
* Hands‑on in building and managing reseller / integrator ecosystems.
* Fluent in English; additional European languages (especially German or French) are a plus.
