Overview
Expert in Science & Technology role at Novartis (temporary contractor opportunity). The role supports Analytical Research & Development (ARD) within Global Technical R&D, focusing on small molecules and Radioligand Therapy. Part of the Small Molecules GMP Analytics Team.
Responsibilities
* Independently plan, organize, execute, and document scientific experiments (e.g., stability/release testing, validations) according to agreed timelines and quality standards.
* Execute experiments using HPLC, GC; perform cleaning validation and cleaning verification experiments.
* Document and submit raw data in appropriate data systems (e.g., GLIMS, eLN).
* Maintain good documentation practices (GDP) and good laboratory practices (GLP) during laboratory activities.
* Support evaluation and interpretation of results, including investigations on SST failures, OOX/Deviations/Change controls as needed.
* Manage assigned laboratory areas/activities (chemical reagents, consumables, samples, columns, glassware, etc.).
* Train and coach associate scientists, technicians, temporary employees, and employees under training/education.
* Proactively communicate key issues and critical topics to the manager and relevant project team members in a timely manner.
* Meet KQI (Key Quality Indicators) and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) for all assigned activities.
* Contribute to team and organizational goals and work according to SOPs, GMP, HSE, ISRM, and company guidelines.
Qualifications
* Bachelors/Masters in Life Science (e.g., analytical/organic chemistry/pharmacy/pharmaceutical development) or equivalent.
* 3+ years of related experience in a GMP environment.
* Experience with HPLC, cleaning validation/verification, GC.
* Understanding of general regulatory and quality expectations.
* Strong scientific background with good communication, presentation, and scientific/technical writing skills.
* Fluent English (oral and written).
* German is a plus.

* Workload: 100% (40 hours per week).
* Role type: Onsite.
* Required start date: November 2025.
* Contract: 24 months.
