AI Engineering Consultant Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced AI & MLOps Engineering Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for assisting clients in designing, building, and operating reliable data and machine learning solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, AI, and software engineering, with experience in data pipelines, ML/LLM integrations, reliability engineering, and AI/ML operationalization.
You will work closely with our clients to analyze their requirements, identify best-fit solutions, and implement engineering best practices such as traceability, reliability, scalability, measurability, and automation.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will also contribute to our solution blueprints and concepts, develop expertise and thought leadership in the field of AI engineering and MLOps, and take ownership of your work while collaborating with our and client teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Consulting, Engineering & Training: Help clients understand the potential and limitations of their digital transformations and deliver impactful services.
* Requirement Analysis: Analyze customer requirements and identify best-fit solutions.
* Implementation of Data Pipelines, ML/LLM Integrations, Reliability Engineering & AI/ML Operationalization: Deliver data and machine learning projects from prototype or pilot phase into production and implement engineering best practices.
* Concept Development: Contribute to our solution blueprints and concepts.
* Expertise & Thought Leadership: Develop expertise and become a trusted advisor in the field of AI engineering and MLOps.
Requirements
* Professional experience (minimum 3 years) as a Machine Learning, AI or Software Engineer focusing on data and ML systems.
* Experience with and ideally certified in major data and AI platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Dataiku, IBM Watson).
* Familiarity with DataOps, DevOps, and MLOps best practices and topics such as Data Mesh, Data Lake/Warehouses, and Reliability Engineering.
* Familiarity with data engineering, ML, and Generative AI models, frameworks & tools.
* Understanding and strong interest in the end-to-end life cycle of projects, code, model, and data pipelines, and working with various stakeholders.
* Technical, hands-on experience with at least some of the following: Programming languages, Distributed systems (Hadoop, Spark), SQL and NoSQL databases, Cloud Services, REST API and microservices, Docker and Kubernetes, Agile development methods and CI/CD.
* Experience working in a client-facing or consulting role.
* Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
* Swiss passport or a valid EU/EFTA work permit.
