Operations Analyst | Barclays | Geneva | 6m FTC

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Analyst to join our Operations team. In this dynamic role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the full lifecycle of change requests, acting as a bridge between subject matter experts, development teams, and stakeholders. If you enjoy bringing clarity to complex processes and thrive in a collaborative, agile environment, this role could be a perfect fit.

You’ll help gather and formalize business needs, manage change tickets, and coordinate with developers to ensure solutions meet expectations. From early concept discussions to post-go-live support, you’ll ensure that operations run smoothly and that all changes are implemented effectively and in line with risk and regulatory standards. Your contributions will support the Geneva Operations leadership team in delivering high-quality service and driving continuous improvement.

As part of this role, you’ll demonstrate personal leadership, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to effective risk and project management practices. You’ll also play a key role in keeping our documentation up-to-date and reflective of the latest enhancements.

Essential Skills


* Avaloq Banking System.
* Excellent communication (in French and English).
* Strong organizational mindset and attention to detail.
* Good understanding of banking process.

Desirable Skills

* Excel (advanced level).
* Experience with Jira and Agile methodologies appreciated.
* Familiar with Microsoft 365 suite.
* Notions of Power Apps or Power Platform are a strong plus.

This role is based in Geneva.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

Purpose of the role

To support PBWM with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

* Support with day-to-day Private Bank and Wealth Management initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution with regards to accounts, products and services.
* Support the management of the banks client relations to clearly identify their needs and provide a service that meets expectations.
* Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.
* Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.
* Development and implementation of Private Bank and Wealth Management procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
* Development of reports and presentations on Private Bank and Wealth Management performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
* Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Private Bank and Wealth Management Services.
* Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Private Bank and Wealth Management efficiency and effectiveness.

* Demonstrate understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
* Make evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information, paying attention to detail.
* Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents.
* Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information.
* Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.
