Senior Internal Auditor

Agius & Partners SA is hiring on behalf of a well-established private bank in Geneva. They are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to strengthen their Internal Audit function and provide assurance over internal controls, risk management, and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, lead, and execute risk-based internal audit assignments across operational, financial, and compliance areas.
* Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls and identify gaps, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
* Analyse business processes, evaluate key risks, and ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and internal policies.
* Provide clear, actionable recommendations to enhance control environments and operational efficiency.
* Engage constructively with stakeholders across departments to promote a strong risk and control culture.
* Prepare high-quality audit reports and present findings to senior management and governance bodies.
* Monitor implementation of agreed audit actions and follow up on remediation plans.
* Contribute to the annual audit plan and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Share knowledge and best practices within the audit team.
Your Profile
* Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum 7 years experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management, ideally within private banking or another regulated financial environment.
* Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), risk management methodologies, and governance standards.
* Solid understanding of financial and operational processes, with a proven ability to identify inefficiencies and control weaknesses.
* Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly valued.
* Familiarity with data analytics and audit automation tools is a plus.
* Awareness of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., Swiss regulations, supervisory authorities).
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Fluency in English and French; additional languages are an advantage.
* High standards of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
* Willingness to travel occasionally for audit assignments.
* Swiss domicile is mandatory.
