For one of our clients, a leading player in the commodity trade finance sector, we are seeking an accomplished Relationship Manager to join their Geneva headquarters. This is a rare chance to take on a strategic client-facing role within a high-performing, entrepreneurial team, directly shaping partnerships and driving growth in global commodity markets.
Your mission:
* Manage and expand a portfolio of corporate clients active in international commodity trade
* Analyse markets, identify opportunities, and develop actionable market strategies to support client growth
* Structure and deliver tailor-made commodity trade finance solutions with a strong focus on risk optimisation
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality service and long-term partnerships
* Work closely with internal teams (product, risk, compliance, operations) to deliver seamless transaction execution
* Navigate complex, fast-moving situations with agility, adapting to different cultures and business environments
* Ensure all activities comply with regulatory frameworks and internal policies while maintaining commercial momentum
Your profile:
* University degree in economics, business administration, or equivalent qualification
* At least 5 years (ideally 8) of proven experience in commodity trade finance relationship management within a bank, trading house, or similar institution
* Strong technical knowledge of commodity trade finance and deep understanding of global commodity markets
* Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with entrepreneurial drive to deliver tangible results
* Proven skills in client relationship management, risk structuring, and business development
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative team player with strong cross-cultural awareness
* Highly organized, accurate, and solutions-oriented, with an independent work style
* Fluent in English and French; additional languages such as German, Italian, or Spanish are a plus
* Resilient under pressure, with the ability to manage demanding, high-profile clients
* Swiss nationality or valid Swiss work permit
* Proficient in MS Office applications
