Position: Sustainability Data Specialist
Location: TN Switzerland – Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland
Job Description
On's mission is to become the leading premium sportswear brand rooted in design, performance, and sustainability. As a Sustainability Data Specialist based in Zurich, you will support the company’s sustainability ambitions by collecting, validating, and calculating Scope 1‑3 data, and building end‑to‑end data flows to transform raw source data into actionable metrics. You will collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to streamline data workflows and support the Product Sustainability, Traceability, and Responsible Manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
* Collect, validate, and calculate Scope 1‑3 data; manage relationships with data owners.
* Model and map sustainability data flows from source systems to reporting tools, turning raw data into actionable metrics.
* Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows and systems in collaboration with tech teams.
* Execute data workstreams for sustainability disclosure and regulatory requirements (e.g., CSRD).
* Support Product Sustainability, Traceability and Responsible Manufacturing teams with data collection, visualization, and engineering tasks.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in sustainability data with a track record in carbon accounting and expertise in the GHG Protocol.
* Ability to code in Python for data processing and task automation.
* Experience with BigQuery or similar data‑warehouse architecture, including query writing and optimization.
* Proficiency in data management tools such as Excel and Google Sheets.
* Strong understanding of sustainability metrics, reporting standards (e.g., SBTi), and global regulations.
* High attention to detail, structured data validation skills, and ability to collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
* Fluency in English.
* Passion for sustainability.
