Position Overview
This role shapes and deploys the MedTech Plan system vision and comprehensive strategy in alignment with senior stakeholders and ensures the successful delivery of the overall Demand Planning program. It also helps transform and standardize underlying Plan technologies and ensures their integration. The person will demonstrate strong experience in supply chain, planning systems/capabilities, end-to-end and strategic thinking, digital acumen, and will partner with senior executives within the MedTech SC functions. This position reports to the MedTech Plan Product Owner within the J&J MedTech Supply Chain Digital organization.
Responsibilities
* Shape the MedTech Plan System vision & strategy for Demand Planning and its integration into the MT SC digital transformation roadmap.
* Develop & deploy Demand Planning system/capability roadmap considering complex interdependencies with MT must-wins and strategic programs such as SigniFi and TranSCend.
* Develop, refine, and implement the strategy to advance the maturity of plan systems globally.
* Shape & initiate the multi-year program, including financials, value case, timelines, and resource model. Mobilize the program.
* Establish and manage the governance structure and processes.
* Plan and manage delivery of projects operationally, including team and schedule management.
* Lead the team to deploy the program.
* Keep abreast of emerging planning concepts and technologies.
* Establish strong alignment with partner functions such as J&J Technology, MT SC Digital, Commercial, Business Unit Supply Chain & Regional Value Chains, and Integrated Business Management.
Qualifications & Experience
Education, experience:
* Masters in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Mathematics, Operations or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within Operations, Supply Chain or large transformation programs.
* Minimum of 5 years Plan business experience.
* People management and development experience; ability to build and maintain high-performance teams.
* Strong knowledge of MedTech supply chain.
* Project Management: FPX PL or PMP Certification required; FPX SME preferred.
* APICS / Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
* Experience leading complex programs with global scope in a distributed environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
* Strategic thinking, planning, communication and influencing skills.
* Ability to work in a complex, multi-system environment; hands-on project delivery and managing timelines.
* Stakeholder management with senior leaders, vendors, and subcontractors.
* Understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies with other functions.
* Strong background in Supply Chain Planning processes and systems; digital acumen; expert knowledge of Advanced Planning Technologies.
* Financial and business acumen to develop multi-year investment plans.
* Global experience with multiple countries/regions; experience with virtual teams and matrix organizations.
* Analytical and quantitative skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
* Awareness of external supply chain trends and best practices.
Location & Travel
Preferred locations: Diegem, Belgium; Raritan, New Jersey; Zug, Switzerland. Travel requirements: 20-30% international travel.
