Your Role
Chief of Independent Monitoring (CIM) reports directly to the Head of Design Organization (HDO) and is responsible for ensuring the continued compliance, effectiveness, and integrity of the Design Organization’s Management System.
Main responsibilities: Ensure by monitoring that the implemented Design Management System is adequate and in compliance with the documented processes and Part 21 Subpart J. Verify the efficiency of the design organisation. Perform internal (H55 DO) and external (design suppliers) audits. Monitor and coordinate findings and their closure through corrective actions and root cause analysis (internal and external) ensuring continuous improvement.
Support on processes review for compliance and consistency with applicable guidance material. Creation of the audit schedule (plan) and coordinate with the Agency on findings that affect the safety of the product. Organize and support the Agency in the audits it conducts and coordinate the follow‑up and closure of any findings with the Agency.
Operates independently of the design/airworthiness processes, ensuring they do not monitor their own work.
Manager of the quality team (Design Quality Assurance Engineer and Auditors).
Manage Key Performance Indicators.
Your Profile
University degree and typically 8 + year experience within aviation.
