Human by nature. /p h3Polymer Testing Scientist (m/w/d) /h3 pYou will report directly to our Director of Environmental and Analytical Labs and join the Product Safety Sciences Laboratories CoE based in Vernier. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead the scientific execution of polymer testing within the PSS Laboratories CoE to support physico‑chemical, analytical, and environmental fate assessments. /li liPerform and oversee laboratory work independently or with colleagues, ensuring data quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance (GLP, internal standards). /li liPlan studies in close collaboration with other laboratory managers and scientists. /li liDevelop and validate new analytical and environmental testing methods to better understand polymer properties and biodegradability. /li liMaintain laboratory SOPs for quality and compliance following our priorities and regulatory needs. /li liProvide polymer testing guidance across cross‑functional and RD teams. /li liSupport problem solving, external studies, and continuous improvement projects. /li liBuild collaborations with external laboratories, CROs, and academic institutions to expand testing capabilities. /li liServe as a key contact for polymer testing across the internal laboratory network. /li liSupport the registration process through coordination with regulatory teams to ensure comprehensive submissions. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree or PhD in Polymer Testing, Analytical or Environmental Chemistry. /li liMinimum 3–5 years of experience in the polymer industry, contract research, or academic laboratories. /li liDemonstrated expertise in polymer testing and characterization (physico‑chemical, analytical, environmental). /li liHands‑on experience with macro‑ or biomolecular polymer analysis and testing methodologies. /li liKnowledge of biodegradation studies and environmental fate assessment is beneficial. /li liExperience within a regulated laboratory environment (GLP, ISO) as a Study Director or equivalent role is beneficial. /li liContribution to laboratory improvement, method development, validation, and standardization. /li liFamiliarity with synthetic or natural fragrance raw materials is beneficial. /li liDeep understanding of polymeric materials—structure, properties, and current scientific challenges. /li liProficiency in analytical techniques such as LC‑UV/MS, GPC, Py‑GC‑MS, IR, TOC, and TGA. /li liExperience measuring physico‑chemical properties and biodegradation potential of polymers. /li liKnowledge of NMR, MALDI‑MS, or similar molecular characterization methods is desirable. /li liAwareness of global regulatory frameworks for polymer registration. /li liProficient in data analysis, technical reporting, and clear communication of scientific results. /li liExperience with method optimization, validation, and documentation per regulatory standards. /li liGood command of Microsoft applications. /li liFluent in English; proficiency in French is beneficial. /li liCollaborative and proactive team player. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liHealth insurance /li liPaid time off and family leave /li liRetirement plan /li liSport and leisure clubs /li liCompany shop /li liStaff restaurant /li liMobility allowance /li /ul pEveryone — regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, culture, religion, or any personal circumstances — is warmly welcomed at Givaudan, a place where we all love to be and grow. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
