As our Team Leader for Automation Software, you won't just be overseeing code; you'll be the architect of our execution. You will lead a talented team of PLC/HMI developers to design, implement, and commission high-end automation solutions. You are the technical anchor during complex troubleshooting and the strategic mentor who grows our engineering talent.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and resource-plan for a team of [Number] Automation Engineers. Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices in software version control.
Project Oversight: Own the full software lifecycle—from initial functional specifications and FDS (Functional Design Specifications) to final site acceptance testing (SAT).
Technical Excellence: Standardize our PLC libraries (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, or Rockwell Studio 5000) to improve modularity and deployment speed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary technical point of contact for Project Managers, Mechanical Designers, and Electrical Engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve in Industry 4.0, IIoT integration, and advanced motion control.
What You Bring to the Table
The Technical Core: 7+ years of experience in PLC programming (IEC standards) and HMI/SCADA development.
Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading engineering teams or large-scale projects. You know how to manage personalities as well as you manage I/O points.
Problem-Solving Mindset: You thrive when the pressure is on during a commissioning phase and can guide a team through "impossible" bugs.
Communication: The ability to translate complex automation logic into "business value" for stakeholders and clients.
Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, or a related field.
