We are looking for an Engineering Lead who is organized, solution-oriented and team player to join the Manufacturing Support department, based in Bulle, Switzerland.
About the role
As an Engineering lead, you will ensure the dimensioning/design, planification and realization of technical modifications and new installations in our biotech and pharma production plants. As an expert you will be actively involved in several investments project execution teams. Aligned with our technical change management procedures you will lead and coordinate several internal and external SMEs and specialists during the realisation of those changes. You will also actively support our qualification experts and participate/lead commissioning activities.
Roles and responsibilities
* Provide engineering expertise in projects and during technical or quality investigations.
* As a major actor in project execution, you will be in charge for design, external companies and commissioning and handover activities
* As an Engineering lead, you will take an active role in the coordination of activities and project’s work packages.
* Based on your strong knowledge in biotech and pharma production sites you will be a key actor interacting with our production specialists, maintenance experts, and project managers.
* Interacting with local and global teams, you will have the opportunity to set your footprint to our continuous improvement activities.
* Actively take part in the application of HSE policy (Health, Safety and Environment)
Education, experience and skills
* Master’s in mechanical engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
* In-depth knowledge of Bioprocess and pharma production equipment and skids, mechanical design expertise (pump dimensioning, piping specification)
* 3 or more years of experience on a biotechnological manufacturing site.
* Several positive experiences in project execution, contractor and construction management and commissioning activities.
* In-depth knowledge of cGMPs and regulations linked with biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing.
* Your leadership skills and fast situation analysis ability will help us to be a strong partner to our stakeholders and foster your impact on production planning whilst executing our technical change activities.
* Your ability to manage several concomitant activities at different levels (from shopfloor execution to contractor coordination and partnering with stakeholders) will be key to succeed in this role.
* Excellent communication skills, to interact with external and internal partners
* Fluent in spoken and written French
