Position Description
Origis Services, LLC is a rapidly expanding Operations and Maintenance provider in the United States. Our solar asset portfolio continues to increase at a near‑exponential rate, with a mixture of owner‑developed and third‑party sites under management. Our goal is to provide inclusive service capability, driving out the large expenses normally passed through to the owner.
Origis is looking for a Site Lead/Supervisor to maintain a utility‑scale solar power plant, troubleshoot, test, repair, and install equipment in designated locations in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the operation and maintenance of utility‑scale solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures; always maintain safety and professionalism.
* Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner.
* Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with the help of digital multimeters, megers, amp clamps, and similar equipment; test installed equipment ensuring proper working order, including daily mechanical and electrical inspections.
* Provide documentation including work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
* Manage equipment maintenance and tool control programs.
* Manage the site safety and accident prevention programs.
* Run the area or site training program.
* Maintain inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels.
* Maintain high quality control on provided tools, vehicles, and materials.
* Train, mentor, and develop solar technicians.
* Ensure continuing education to meet safety and plant requirements.
* Maintain the plant’s vegetation requirements, including mowing and spraying routinely.
* Employment may require working on weekends and holidays, including an “on‑call” service availability via telephone or text message.
Preferred Qualifications
* Valid driver’s license (required).
* Inverter specialist or solar technician with 3+ years’ experience; knowledgeable of renewable energy peculiarities and expertise in DC array technology.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to perform basic electrical calculations and read and interpret electrical schematics.
* Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision.
* Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 lbs.
* Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
* Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
