Overview
The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Singapore in Geneva would like to invite suitable candidates to apply for a full-time contract position of a Research Officer/Translator.
Responsibilities
Research Work
Monitor daily local newspapers and media and prepare daily press reports.
Conduct online research and prepare reports where required.
Follow local media conferences/media briefings/announcements from the government and international agencies and file reports.
Translation/Interpretation
Translate into English relevant news articles from local and foreign language newspapers for the daily press reports.
Translate incoming mail from French/German into English, and vice-versa where necessary.
Provide interpretation support at meetings and events.
Other duties
Assist in the Mission’s events and other administrative tasks when required.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Good command of English, French and German.
University degree with relevant experience. Prior related experience would be an advantage.
Reasonable IT and Microsoft applications knowledge.
