You will independently lead complex, cross‑business‑unit initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and translate governance strategy into real‑world implementation, all while helping to simplify and modernise how underwriting governance works across a global organization. /p pAs Underwriting Transformation Governance Manager, you will work closely with Group Underwriting leadership, Business Units, Data Technology, Risk Management, and Compliance to help shape and operationalise the future underwriting governance model across Swiss Re. /p h3bKey Responsibilities /b /h3 h3bUnderwriting Governance Transformation /b /h3 ul liLead designated governance transformation workstreams across PC Re, CorSo, and LH Re, driving delivery, stakeholder alignment, and implementation /li liShape solution design for governance transformation, including changes to the underwriting governance framework and the development of new or enhanced underwriting standards /li liProactively identify and resolve governance implementation challenges and cross‑business‑unit dependencies before they become blockers /li liCoordinate cross‑functional stakeholders, ensuring workstreams progress with clear accountability, milestones, and delivery discipline /li /ul h3bUnderwriting Governance Stewardship /b /h3 ul liOwn designated areas of Group‑level underwriting governance, ensuring they remain fit for purpose and future‑ready /li liLead updates and improvements to underwriting standards, referral principles, and authority frameworks /li liChampion consistent interpretation and application of underwriting governance across all business units /li liPartner with Business Units, Risk Management, Compliance, and operational teams to support effective governance implementation and workflows /li liDrive the implementation of underwriting governance requirements into underwriting data, tools, systems, workflows, and workbench capabilities across business units /li liLead adoption and simplification of governance‑related tooling and workflows, always balancing best practice with practical business needs /li liFacilitate cross‑business‑unit alignment and the sharing of best practices related to underwriting governance tooling and implementation /li /ul h3bAbout the Team /b /h3 pYou will join Group Underwriting, working closely with underwriting governance and transformation leadership across the organisation. /p pThe team plays a critical role in shaping underwriting governance modernisation, AI‑enabled underwriting capabilities, and enterprise underwriting standards across Swiss Re. /p h3bAbout You /b /h3 pYou are a seasoned underwriting governance and transformation professional who knows how to get things done in complex, global environments. You bring a rare combination of deep underwriting expertise, sharp execution skills, and the ability to build trust and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. You are pragmatic, delivery‑focused, and energized by the challenge of turning governance strategy into practical, scalable solutions. /p h3bWe are looking for candidates who meet these requirements: /b /h3 ul li8+ years of re/insurance experience in underwriting, underwriting governance, contracts wording, risk management, or similar areas /li liSolid, hands‑on understanding of underwriting standards, contract wording, referral rules, authority frameworks, and underwriting governance processes /li liProven solutioning and design skills, with the ability to shape practical, scalable options for complex governance, process, and implementation challenges /li liStrong stakeholder management capabilities, with a track record of driving alignment across business units and group functions including Data Technology, Risk Management, Legal, and Compliance /li liDelivery‑focused mindset, with demonstrated ability to manage implementation, dependencies, and execution in a fast‑moving, cross‑functional environment /li /ul h3bThese are additional nice to haves: /b /h3 ul liExposure across both PC and LH business lines /li liExperience working with data, tools, systems, and workflows in an underwriting or governance context /li liExperience working in a global, matrixed organisation with multiple business units /li liStrong communication and storytelling skills — the ability to translate complex governance topics into clear, compelling narratives for senior audiences /li /ul pFor Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 136,000 CHF and 204,000 CHF for a full‑time role. /p pThe specific salary offered considers: /p p- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role /p p- the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience /p pIn the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
