Senior Consultant - Supply Chain - Switzerland
EMEA is proudly partnered with a global IT hardware and software organization in its search for a Test Automation Engineering Director. The business manufactures products in over 100 international locations to supply computing platforms to provide equipment for customers across all industries.
Our client is seeking to add a Test Automation Engineering Director as they are experiencing an exciting growth phase. This team will be expanding through innovation and further scheduled projects.
As the Test Automation Engineering Director, you will lead the global function responsible for ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
This role is based on-site in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Responsibilities
* Set strategic direction - Define the architecture, roadmap, and long-term vision for scalable, distributed test automation systems
* Lead & inspire - Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing, multidisciplinary team spanning BSP integration, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation, functional test systems, and infrastructure engineering
* Ensure seamless integration - Oversee BSP integration testing within CI/CD pipelines and deliver robust, repeatable validation across diverse hardware platforms
* Advance test infrastructure - Design and evolve HIL systems, production testers, and reusable frameworks that embed quality into every development stage
* Champion continuous improvement - Embed best practices in automation-first approaches, test-driven development, and continuous validation to enhance efficiency, coverage, and system resilience
Role requirements
* Proven experience leading complex test automation or validation programs, ideally in embedded, hardware-integrated environments
* Strong background in embedded software integration testing
* Familiarity with designing and operating hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems and lab infrastructure for continuous validation
* Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code best practice
