Coface Re, based in Lausanne, comprises a 20+ multicultural team. The company primarily focuses on purchasing reinsurance coverage for the Group and developing a third-party reinsurance book specialized in surety bonds. This third-party activity has been active for 5 years, aiming to develop a high-quality, profitable portfolio.
We are hiring to expand this inward reinsurance team.
This rapidly growing business line seeks to enhance profitability by splitting commercial underwriting from middle/back-office functions. The new role aims to improve portfolio management processes, accelerate onboarding of prospects, and streamline renewals in collaboration with underwriters.
The successful candidate will join a team of two and contribute to establishing this function, reporting directly to the CEO.
YOUR MAIN MISSIONS:
* Existing Customers:
* Assist underwriters with treaty renewals (exposure follow-up, statistics update, contractual review, etc.)
* Ensure timely reporting of bordereaux and statistics, upload exposures, and track changes
* Follow claims evolution and reserves
* Upload KYC, KYI, UBO documents into the Group tool
* Prospects:
* Assist underwriters in tagging risks and collecting KYC/KYI documentation
* Contribute to market studies to identify growth opportunities
* Manage license renewal and acquisition, ensuring timely submission of official documents (Accounts, Rating, FINMA certificates) to authorities
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Education:
* Higher education degree (business school or university)
* Fluency in English and French; additional languages (Chinese/Spanish) are a plus
* Proficient in IT tools, especially Microsoft Excel, for database management and automation
Experience:
* At least 5 years in Account Management within reinsurers, insurers, or financial institutions
* Organizational flexibility and experience in operational follow-up of insurance policies or treaties are advantageous
* Self-motivated, client-oriented, organized, and capable of process creation and improvement
* Excellent communication skills across functions and cultures
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and approach problems proactively
