As an ADME Scientist within the Biomedical PK Sciences (PKS) organization, you will facilitate the in vitro characterization of the drug-drug interaction (DDI) potential of drug candidates. Anticipating DDI liabilities during drug development is essential for understanding the safety and efficacy of new drug candidates.
The Drug Disposition (DD) group in PKS seeks a highly qualified, multi-disciplinary, team-oriented scientist with cell biology experience, emphasizing in vitro enzyme kinetics and ADME assays. A strong background in bioanalytical methods, including LC/MS, radio-chromatography, and PCR, is desirable. In this role, you will elucidate drug-metabolizing enzymes involved in the elimination of new drug candidates, perform enzyme kinetics studies, and assess the potential to inhibit or induce drug-metabolizing enzymes. Responsibilities also include researching new technologies in 3D cell culture models, automation, and bioanalytics to enhance existing assay portfolios.
About the Role
Requirements:
* BS, MS, or PhD in biology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or related disciplines.
* Good understanding of laboratory equipment, particularly LC/MS.
* Experience handling radioactive materials and radiochromatography.
* Proficiency in cell culture work and cell-based assays.
* Experience with lab automation systems is desirable.
* Strong experimental and problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration and communication skills (both written and oral), eagerness to learn, and excellent time management skills are preferred.
* The ability to work effectively in a team-based drug discovery/development environment is essential.
